Writing Workshop at the Library:

Featuring West Virginia’s own, Mike Knost.

Michael Knost is an international Bram Stoker Award recipient and Black Quill Award winner for his nonfiction work, “Writers Workshop of Horror.”

 

Knost is currently based in Charleston,  but was born in Logan, West Virginia.  In 2017, he won the West Virginia Writer’s Lifetime Achievement Award.  He has written several anthologies, featuring myth and legends of the Mountaineer state, as well as 2 books featuring Mothman.

According to Wikipedia, he has also put out several other books, including:

  • Appalachian Winter Hauntings (2009, Woodland Press, co-edited with Mark Justice), an anthology
  • Dark Tales of Terror(2010, Woodland Press), an anthology
